On behalf of the Executive Committee at Whitehall Media we have great pleasure in welcoming you to CNI 2011 - The 2nd Annual Critical National Infrastructure Conference and Exhibition.
Protecting the Critical National Infrastructure and ensuring the continuation of political, social and economic activity is vital to the UK.
The Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) is both the backbone and the lifeblood of the country. Any disruption, damage or destruction to all or part of the CNI could result in grave consequences for the functioning of government, the economy and society.
The difficulties, progress and future of the CNI’s security and resilience provides the focus for this conference.

This year’s conference aims to build on the tremendously successful CNI 2010 conference, which sought to address the ways in which technology and effective Contingency Planning could radically improve the reslience or our Infrastructures as well asexamining the role of the CPNI in managing interdependecies and disparate security arrangements across the varying stakeholders
Also this year, CNI 2011 will encompass some of the challenges for the UK in transforming National Security and Resilience Policy into a more cohesive plan for delivery of National Security Strategy
